BBA is the consulting architect for the Pageant of the Masters/ Festival of Arts, an international fine arts venue located in the Civic Arts district of Laguna Beach, California. BBA designed the renovation of the Irvine Bowl Amphitheater and Pageant of the Masters stage and proscenium,as well as the production arts facility building where the Pageant of the Masters “live art” stage sets are made every year for the annual internationally renowned “live art” show that takes place during the Laguna Beach summer art festival season.
Additionally, BBA was selected by the Laguna Beach City Council to be 1 of 4 design and planning teams to master plan and design the Gateway to Laguna Beach, an urban design competition encompassing the entire Civic Arts district and downtown business and commercial district of Laguna each.
On the Boards, BBA has designed 2 artist live/work projects in the City of Laguna Beach: the Canyon Acres Art Live/Work located in the Laguna Canyon Area and the Glenneyre Street Professional Arts and Live /Work Project. Each project was designed and tailored to fit an innovative housing concept where the artists (painters, ceramicists, sculptors, photographers, etc) work and live in independent studios.
