Over the past 44 years, BBA has designed new and redevelopment cinema entertainment projects for Edwards Theatres, Regal, Galaxy Luxury+ Theatres, TCL Chinese Theatre, Landmark Theatres, and Cinemark. Our work extends throughout the United States: California, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Texas, and Washington. We have also been involved in international entertainment design projects in England, Japan, and Angola, Africa. Our extensive experience has enabled us to meet the diverse needs of our clients over many projects.

BBA master planned and designed the Franciscan Plaza I & II, a redevelopment entertainment/town center/parking facility in the historic Mission District of San Juan Capistrano, California.  Other notable projects include the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX remodel, Irvine Spectrum Regal refurbishment, LALive Regal, Grand Ridge, Issaquah Highlands, WA, Ontario Mountain Village, CA, Alhambra Renaissance, CA entertainment centers, and Kapolei Commons Regal Hawaii.  Industrial/commercial/distribution facility design include PWPipe and Burlington companies. BBA civic work includes serving as the consulting Architect for the Pageant of the Masters and the Festival of the Arts located in Civic Arts District, Laguna Beach, CA, providing design services for the Pageant production facility and Irvine Bowl.

BBA has designed estate and custom homes located in oceanfront and private hillside communities in Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Luis Obispo counties. The most noteworthy projects are located in Monarch Bay, Three Arch Bay, Niguel Shores, Smithcliffs, Emerald Bay, Pelican Hills, Ocean Ridge, and Coto de Caza. Several of these estates have been designed for notable leaders of industry, commerce, and the motion picture industry.

At BBA, we bring firsthand experience to rebuilding homes and communities affected by natural disasters. From restoring the North Hollywood Terrace townhome community after the Northridge earthquake to redesigning and reconstructing estates, homes, townhouse/condominium complexes, and apartment buildings devastated by the more recent fires experienced across Southern California, we have established ourselves as a trusted partner in recovery. Our expertise extends beyond design and construction — we skillfully navigate the complexities of regulations, bureaucracy, and red tape to ensure a smooth and efficient process. BBA has been a leader in preparing digital renderings in-house for our projects since the 1990’s. We utilize still and animated views of our designs, enabling our clients to fully understand the design parameters, forms, materials, and colors of the proposed project. This facilitates dialog in the early stages of the design process, allowing clients to make informed decisions which save time and money.
